Same sweet and flavor as glucose, can improve the flavor of normal sweet foods and to inhibit odor, to maximum satisfy the people who like sweet but worry about weight control;2. Not utilized by oral microbes, and has part of similar function as dietary fiber;3. Good compatibility with food. When add fewer Xylose into the food, it can show good health care function and same time can raise the absorption of Ca when assume Xylose together with Ca, and also prevent constipation.4. Xylose can restrain human intestinal enzyme decomposition sucrose into glucose and fructose, so as to reduce the human glycemic index and the absorption of caloric.Where can we use D-Xylose:1. To produce Xylitol after hydrogenation.2. Add in feedstuff for pets in some advanced countries.3. The pure crystalline D-Xylose can be the good material instead of sugar to produce flavor agent by its Maillard reaction. Compared with other six carbon sugar, D-Xylose needs fewer reaction time to get different flavors like roast beef / pork, cooking meat, chicken, baked potato, baking food and etc through different hydrolyzed protein and amino acid response. The FEMA of US is approved D-Xylose as a safe food additive (GRAS).4. Good high-quality soy sauce color.5. Raw material for essence to meat6. It is an aldopentose - a monosaccharide containing five carbon atoms and an aldehyde functional group. Xylose has the same sweet flavor as glucose and is 40% as sweet as sucrose. It is easily dissolved in water. It can improve the flavor of normal sweet foods and can inhibit odors. D-Xylose is accepted by FDA as a safe food ingredient (GRAS). In the EU, xylose is also graded as a food ingredient. It is used in the food production as sweetener, nutrition supplements. As xylose is a non-caloric sweetener, it is used as a diabetic sweetener in low-sugar foods and condiment to enhance flavor and as nutrition supplements to improve nutrition value and sweetness. It is used in beverage industry to enhance flavor in low-sugar drink. It is used as intermediate in pharmaceutical for medicine manufacturing. It is used in animal medicine to test for malabsorption. It is used in hydrogen production, in cosmetics as humectant, in chemicals to produce a specialty solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol) for industry and a precursor to synthetic polymers, in human consumption, and in the production of anti-cariogenic sugar substitute xylitol.References[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylose[2] https://www.yameiaspartame.com/applications-and-uses-of-d-xylose/
